Mohandas Gandhi Non-Violent Protest Beliefs

Mohandas Gandhi was a leader of India's independence movement, who created the first non-violent protests. His belief on non-violent protests was that his life was guided by the search for truth. He had a method of direct social actions based on his principles. Courage, non-violence and truth. He called this satyagraha.

Mohandas Gandhi Impact

The biggest impact that Gandhi had on India is that he got India independence in 1947. Another impact was that he gave many people the idea to use non-violent protests. Martin Luther King used the non-violent protests in his acts against slavery.  Mohandas Gandhi inspired people to fight for civil rights.
