Ganges River Pollution Causes

The causes of pollution in the Ganges River is because of the people who live near it. The urban and rural wastes and industrial effluents are dumped right into the river. This is all because the fact that there are carcasses of animals, and burnt bodies being thrown into the river. The increases in population in India is causing more pollutants to enter the river. Every day, at least 3.6 billion liters of sewage is dumped into it. This river provides for 500 million Indians alone, and if there isn't anything done by it people will die.

Ganges River Pollution Effects

The effects of all of the things people do to destroy this river is chemical in the water, no fish in the river, and unhealthy water. People usually drink from this river, and get badly sick from it, too. People use this river for food, drinking, bathing, transportation, and agriculture. The chemicals in the water have had a disastrous effect on the health of Indians left untreated.

Yangtze River Pollution Causes

Industry is the main polluter of the Yangtze River. Another reason is that there are a lot of people living in China, so that the waste that goes into the river is probably a lot. Agricultural pollution and shipping discharges were also to blame for the river's declining health. One day, these two rivers will die.

Yangtze River Pollution Effects

The effects of pollution in the Yangtze river is cancer, health problems, and death. Like the Ganges River, people bath, drink, and eat from the river. People left untreated, and the river left untreated, will die eventually.

People who try to help clean the river don't do much. The river is very long, and huge. The years of waste and sewage would take 2 years to clean up.
